Sorin Horvath is a life-long resident of South Bend and a senior at Saint Joseph High School. He grew up with leprechauns on his socks in the shadow of the Golden Dome. He is passionate about community engagement and issues of equity and diversity. Father Hesburgh, who strived for equality for all, is his hero. In the future, he is excited about improving parks for children in the low-income neighborhoods in the South Bend Community. He has raised over $50,000 for JDRF, and in his free time enjoys playing soccer and watching all sporting events.
